I love the beach. And I love the sea. So it makes sense that my dream destination would be somewhere where both are combined into one. In Bali, you’ll find a beautiful stretch of coastline called Uluwatu, located about 40 minutes outside Kuta. This gorgeous place is home to some of the most incredible beaches in Indonesia, including Jimbaran Bay, Sunset Beach, and Batu Bolong.
The perfect aqua-blue water and the laid-back, off-the-beaten-path vibe is just what I want in a honeymoon, so I booked our trip there immediately. We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Ubud, which overlooks the ocean and offers sweeping views of the sunset. Our days consisted of long walks along the shoreline, relaxing cocktails, and watching the sun set over the ocean.
Our nights were spent eating dinner and dancing under the stars. There was no better way to spend our wedding night than surrounded by nothing but beauty.
Ubud Bali
Ubud is about an hour away from the international airport, and it’s one of the most popular places to visit in Bali. Ubud is where you’ll find the heart of Balinese culture, including some great hotels and restaurants. There are plenty of things to do here, such as take a cooking class, learn how to make traditional Balinese offerings like krupuk, go shopping in the markets, or relax in the spa.
Seminyak & Canggu Bali
The heart of Bali’s tourism and expat community is located about 20 to 30 minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport. There you’ll find the famous Kuta Beach and Legian area, which are home to many of the island’s most popular tourist attractions. But there’s much more to discover beyond those well-known destinations.
Canggu is just a few kilometers north of Seminyak and is where you’ll find the laidback atmosphere of Ubud, the natural beauty of Tanjung Benoa, and the trendy cafes and nightlife of Sanur. You’ll find everything you could possibly want here, including boutique hotels, villas, yoga retreats, surf schools, restaurants, and even a small zoo.
Nusa Lembongan Bali
The island of Nusa Lembonganiya is located off the coast of North Lombok, Indonesia. The island is famous for its beautiful beaches, clear waters, white sand, and lush green vegetation. On the southern end of the island, you’ll find the small village of Sanur. Here, you can shop for souvenirs, dine out, and even catch a show at one of the local theaters.

Mount Batur – Ultimate Natural Setting
Mount Batur rises majestically over the lush green landscape of central Java. With its white cone shaped summit, it offers visitors a spectacular view of the surrounding area. Its unique shape makes it one of Indonesia’s most recognizable volcanoes.
The mountain attracts thousands of tourists every year. At 1700 meters high, it is not only the highest active volcano in Indonesia, but it is also the highest active volcano in Southeast Asia.
On clear days, you are able to see the entire island of Java spread out before you. On a cloudy day, however, the view is limited. Nevertheless, even during poor weather conditions, Mount Batur still dominates the horizon.
With its steep slopes, the mountain is covered with vegetation. From the top of the volcano, there are many opportunities to observe wildlife such as monkeys, birds, reptiles, insects, and plants.
In addition, the mountain contains several lakes, including Lake Tamblingan. This lake is located within the crater of Mount Batur and is surrounded by volcanic rock formations.
You can reach Mount Batur via car, bus, motorcycle, horseback, or foot. If you want to enjoy the stunning scenery without having to climb too much, we recommend taking a trip to Mount Batur by bicycle.

You can find many things to do here such as shopping, dining, relaxing, sightseeing, and even snorkeling. Here are some suggestions to make sure you don’t miss anything while exploring Kuta:
1. Visit the Tanah Lot Temple
The Tanah Lot Temple is located in the center of Kuta. This temple was built during the reign of King Mengrai of Majapahit Kingdom. The structure of this temple is similar to Borobudur temple in Central Java. There are three stories of the temple. Each story represents Mount Meru, the abode of gods. The main feature of the temple is the huge statue of Garuda, the king of birds.
2. Go Shopping in Legian Beach
Legian beach is famous for its variety of shops. You can buy souvenirs like batik clothes, wooden carvings, jewelry, paintings, masks, woodcarvings, bags, and much more. If you want to shop without having to go too far, there are plenty of stores inside Seminyak Square.
3. Enjoy Nightlife in Kuta
Nightlife in Kuta is quite lively especially around Jalan Kayu Aya where there are plenty of bars and clubs. There are many live music venues in Kuta at night. Some of them are Paddy’s Pub, Club Sebalekti, Arma Bar, and Lava Lounge.
